Regional Vice President, Philadelphia, PA
When I first started working at Enterprise, I never realized the opportunities it would afford me down the road. Enterprise is not about having a job; it's about having a career. After 16 years with the company, I serve as Regional Vice President of the Philadelphia group.
Enterprise has not only provided me with the necessary tools and training to run my own business, but they have also provided me with opportunities for advancement. The culture at Enterprise is focused on a belief system that if you work hard and perform well, you will be rewarded.
It's also about teamwork. Without teamwork, we can't take care of our customers. Enterprise is extremely interdependent and there is a high degree of appreciation and respect among colleagues. At the end of the day, it's about developing our people, growing our business and the fact that everyone makes a difference.
At Enterprise we live by our founding value that "Great things happen when we listen ... to our customers and to each other." Since beginning my career at Enterprise, I have come to appreciate the importance of communication and listening even more. By listening to one another we learn how to improve our performance and grow our business. I knew very early on that I was working with a talented and bright group of people. From the newest hire to senior management, everyone is looking to succeed.
As the mother of twin boys, I have also worked hard to balance work and my personal life. My husband, Tim, and I keep open lines of communication, and we have created a system that helps us keep our lives balanced.
I also believe that it's important to surround yourself with positive influences. And fortunately, I get that opportunity each and every day from my team. At the end of the day, the thing I love most about Enterprise is the opportunity to develop my employees. While this is a great responsibility, there is nothing more rewarding then sitting in front of a new recruit and welcoming them to Enterprise.
